If there's one thing I've learnt in life, it's practice makes better, because
no matter how much a person draws, theres always room for improvement. I was born in Wisconsin and moved to Kentucky at age 9. At the age of four I made a goal to become better than my mother at art. 7th grade I finally made it to that state (she said it not me!).
Over the years I've experimented with different medias. Charcoal and pencil have always been on the iffy side with me. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like to smudge my work. I usually pefer drawing out the paths of the character (basic shapes) with a colored pencil and going over them with my favorite tool a ball point ink pen. I've seemed to find a better control with the ball point than I ever had with a pencil.
I just reciently started cell shading my artwork on Adobe Photoshop 7.0, and have finally reached a stage where my art is really taking an animation turn. I've finally developed my own original characters as well as a distinctive style of my own. I've learnt over the past 16 years to experiment with all sorts of media. You never know how much fun or how annoying a media can be unless you go the distance with it.
Currently I'm a Graphic Arts major at Eastern Kentucky University, hoping to maybe transfer to Columbus OH to finally get started on my true love, animation.
